hurricane irene

i don't know if i already told all of you this but i have diabetes.

you probably know that.



well anyway, i made a list of things i learned from irene

here it is:

1. sometimes other people are busy when you need help, so you gotta help yourself.

2.pumps make great flashlights.

3.when the power is out you play a lot of cards... and fetch

except the dog doesn't know how to give the ball back so she prances around you like "you can't get this ball from me" with a taunting look in her eyes.

4.flashlights run out of batteries... fast

5. ya gotta come together in times of need


the beach house...  the beach has always been the murphy way of life... the cousins come, we come and we all join our grandparents. we are right on the  beach in the beach house.

 and the cousins stayed for the hurricane... they are ok though, the water barely came up to the seawall... speaking of the cousins, my sisters and I are going camping in vermont with them... that will be another story though...
